    Hi,
    I'm looking for a bit of a steer please - I'm toying with the idea to start looking to apply for a mortgage sometime next year.
    My gross is circa 60K + ~5K bonus and I have one child. I'm currently paying rent €600 p/m and saving €500 p/m with no issues. I also have a car loan which is ~€400 p/m which will expire in 3 years.
    What would be the minimum criteria before I submit an application - say €220K (is this a reasonable figure)?
    One other question - I'm 34 the end of this year, would this impact the duration of mortgage?
