Actually ive always found the characters of penny's and bernadette's dads a bit interchangable. They're very similar. Basically the same character.

Sagal is a solid addition, also Gemma Teller in SOA!

The fella they've cast as her brother seems completely out of line with what we've been told about him.
I recognise him from some other shows and he's far to feminine.
Maybe he proves me wrong but judging from everything I've seen of him I doubt it.

I was actually surprised at how high quality the jokes/writing was in this episode. Do they have some new writing staff or are they finally clued in at how bad the show was getting.

Raj is not just a stereotype token; Sheldon isn't as one dimensional; Penny and her family interaction was a little too scripted but much warmer than we have seen her; Howard on the receiving end from Raj for once (admittedly this won't last, but it's a good set-up); Leonard seems like the only normal person in the group (but from what I understand the Leonard/Penny/Sheldon set-up for the season leads to significant tension).

All in all 10/10 on a BBT scale; 7/10 if judged without a curve

Watched the first 2 episodes of season 10. I won't be making a weekly effort anymore, that's for sure.
