Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They can still appeal it, but so can the prosecution (they asked for 5-6 years sentencing).

If he was jailed, it'd have to be evasion

He's not going to appeal the sentence and is stepping down as president.

A good marriage is a lot like appealing a sentence.

JUST APPEAL THE GOD DAMN SENTENCE.

problem is, he dodged 28million of tax.
Its considered a jailable offence when it goes over 1 million!

That he got 3 1/2 years could be considered mild.
So to appeal risks a fairly good chance of getting more time.
Plus, the 7000 pages of submitted accounts werent dealt with in the case in detail. If he appeals then all that suddenly is on the table and the case would last years without much to be gained from it.

so, he is literally now packing his bags ready to spend the next 3+ years in Jail!

He must be kicking himself he wasn't in Italy.
He would prime minister by now and be having lots of enjoyable bunga bunga as opposed to the version he might be getting where he is going.

I am not allowed discuss …

Isn't it funny how the two clubs in Europe who pontificated most about the big spending of Man City, Madrid etc now have faced tax evasion scandals? First Barca with Neymar's transfer, and now Mr Bayern himself.

Well, it wasn't really anything to do directly with the club. It was his personal accounts.

Yes, but Hoeness himself was quick to mouth off and push for harsh penalties for clubs breaking the rules.

I agree that it is hypocritical coming from him, but Bayern is well run and not the tax dodgers here. He just happens(ed) to be their president.

I think, he will serve his sentence in the same jail. Hitler was in. Hopefully, we won't write a book :pac:

*talks to himself: 'Shut up, Lars' :D
