Wood for turning

    Hi

I’m a amateur wood turner in the Meath area. I’m wondering if anyone around this area has any greenwood downed from the storms which they would like to sell for a modest/reasonable price.

I’m looking for hardwoods e.g. ash, beech, oak etc. I don’t need a lot and can’t really take on cutting up whole trees or such. With work I just don’t get thetime and don’t have the equipment. So I really need somebody who can part with a few rings or large logs I can tip away at over the next while.

Anyway would be grateful if anybody can help.

    Many thanks

    Simon

I've acquired a nice bit of spalted beech, 1 foot thick by 2 foot diameter, what's it worth? ;)

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
