Was up doing a shop in tescos earlier and noticed lots of people with bottles of baileys in their baskets. The couple ahead of us had 14 bottles between them.

Was in Lidl today and heard a manager telling a new staff member that there was a 12 bottles of wine and 48 can limit per person.
Couldn't hear if she said it was on now or coming in.
Would imagine it's for the wine and slab offers.
Nothing to stop you walking out, walk back in and go to a different till with more though.

I often find the fake moustache and wig works too. They are none the wiser.

Those saloon doors they have put in to corner off the booze from the rest of supermarket, how is that a good idea during coronavirus, so I’ve to touch a filthy door twice to get some booze. This country is a joke.

Don't try it in Lidl some of them are sliding doors.:)

Very efficient the Germans, means more accessible shelf space and they can be locked easily during non licensed hours.

Vorsprung Durch Technik applied to booze you might say.

    Back to business -

    Dunnes have Carlsberg 20 x 300ml bottles €15.

Aldi had 24 can pcks for €19.67 a few weeks back(470ml), price is weird as its €19.99, but reduced because of the temporary vat reduction to 21%

Dunnes 12 x Guinness 50cl cans (proper with widget) €15.50.

If you get three of these it comes to €46.50 grab a newspaper and couple of cartons of milk to go over €50, use your €10 off voucher.

You have just bought 36 cans for €36.50. Happy Christmas :)

HUKD reports 25% off wine when you buy 6 Tesco UK, between 18/11-1/12. Presumably same here??

    Not sure to be honest.
The 6 for €40 & the 6 for €50 deals run until 29th Nov - so i cant see them bringing in an overlapping deal until this one has run its course

Tesco UK had a 25% off couple of months ago but ROI stores had the 6 for €40 and 6 for €50 offers on at same time which was disappointing.
It's been a long time since Tesco ROI has done a 25% off. :(.

yes i think the 25% has had it's day. i dont think we have seen that in any f the supermarkets here in over a year now but i stand to be corrected
