My local sv had 24 Guinness 'on offer ' at 50.89, and 24 heineken at 54.27.!!! No idea what was going on with those mad prices.

Spar are selling 5 x500ml bottles of lomza for 9€, the unpasteurized is lovely stuff.

Beamish 4 for €5 in Lidl, €7.49 everywhere else.
except Roscommon where I just bought 3x4 packs in Lidl, yer one scanned a barcode from each 4 pack (scanned 3 cans basically) 1.89 a can, charged me €5.67 rounded down to €5.65 for the 12 cans, woohoo 47c for a can of Beamish :D:D:D I will probably feel terrible later when I am drinking them :rolleyes:

Anyone know what the Argus Premium is like? Wouldn't be interested in the others waaay too strong! I tried the Perlenbacher in the can and it's not great compared to the bottles

The premium is nice but the gold is one of the nicest, refreshing and easy drinking beers I've ever had.
I stocked up in my local lidl yesterday and it doesn't taste like it's 6%.

For anyone who hasn't tried the Argus Strong, it's incredibly tasty, although if you're not used to drinking strong beers the aftertaste might take a bit of getting used to

Catering for approx 100 people. Wine, beer, prosecco needed.
I'd like to get decent wine, Oyster Bay if I could.
Newry would cost me 30 euro return including tolls.
Would it be worth my while heading up? Haven't seen the 25% off 6 bottles at tesco in ages. Any ideas?
