Italy in past few season performed very well at home, beating France and ourselves - thought they were past these type of performances..

Is it me or does everyone in Ireland seem very overconfident of beating France...and beating them well? I wouldn't be confident of facing any French team in Paris. That being said I think Ireland will scrape a win by 3 or 5.

I'm not. I think we're going to lose. Obviously I hope we don't.

Our best hope is italy getting an intercept try or similar.

Keep those kind of predictions coming. :D

Some of you guys need to catch on to yourselves. Until England are leading by 51 points it matters not a damn what they score.

    Score?

Of course they have something to play for. It's a test match at home. They will want to win.

    9 mins. 15 points. 3 converted tries would leave England +6 .

Whatever about that, this England team are quality. I know they reached the WC final somehow in 2007, but this is the best team since 2003 imo.

We'll beat France by a bit anyway.

Huh? Before the intercept they were well set for leading by more than 51 points.

Yeah but the closer they get to +51 - the more likely they are to achieve it

Yes but it would be nice if they never threatened that 51 point total.

England starting to get desperate now, game should open right up (if it can anymore)

Being well set is one thing, actually doing it is another. An intercept try for example, would change things, no?

Hardly. If we were that confident of "beating them well" then we wouldn't really care about England matching or slightly beating our points difference, as beating France well would erode that again. Plenty of us are concerned that any win Ireland may get will be tight, and so we need to have points over England going into the match, not being reliant on them accrued during,

Makes them very dangerous too. They will run it from their own line. They've nothing to lose. Game is won

England don't have the calibre of reserves we have.

    Testament to a good squad.
