Hi, not very tech savvy and have read through similar posts on boosting wifi signal through 'home plugs' but not sure if I get it.

We live in rural area and finally had enough of eircom fixed line broadband (0.5MB speed at best) so switched to O2 and have a Huawei e5332 hotspot http://www.o2online.ie/shop/view/product/ql_catalog/catdevice/E5332REFURB?broadbandType=paym
Speeds a good bit better but can only get a signal in one part of the house - sunroom that has direct line of site to nearest O2 mast. However, cannot get laptop or smart phone to stay connected to the hotshot in two bedrooms furthest from the hotshot.

I am presuming one of these homeplugs such as http://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-PA411KIT-AV500-Powerline-Adapter/dp/B0084Y9N3O/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1389993178&sr=8-9&keywords=tplink+gigabit+cable would work???

As far as installation goes is it just a case of plugging the hotshot into one of these and then plugging the pair down in the hall or one of the bedrooms? The hotshot only has a usb connection so don't think I can connect Ethernet cable to it.

Can laptop and smartphone connect wirelessly to the second plug?

Just a bit clueless and any help or suggestions as to what would work appreciated
    Thanks

You can get 3G devices like this :

    http://www.elara.ie/products/wlrouters.aspx?search=3g&available=checked

some have ethernet ports on the back and might have better wireless

As the sweet-spot for 3G reception is in a specific place you nee a device to extend that signal while leaving the Wlan device where it is. I'm in a similar situation and bought the Netgear Wireless Extender WN2000RTP which works fine.
