Which toddler car seat would you recommend to bring on holidays and as a spare?

We have an ISOFIX toddler car seat which is great but we are thinking of buying a spare carseat as we have a few holidays in Europe planned over the summer which we would like to bring our own seat for (last time we hired the car seat it was in an an awful state) and we also need a spare seat for our second car anyway (which does not have ISOFIX).

Can anyone recommend a seat for a 18 mo old which is relatively compact and easy to transport, quick to fit into a smallish car, has good safety ratings, and doesn't cost the earth?

Smyths are doing 20% off car seats at the mo and argos have reduced a lot! I was thinking about buying one (for the next stage) for OHs car so we don't have to keep switching!
