Anybody have any idea when the Portlaw to Carrick On Suir road will reopen or why it is still closed

    Cheers

The Suir burst through a good bit of its banks near the small bridge in the recent storms and there is still a lot of water around there due to tides adding to the mess, the road is not in great shape.
Work is expected to commence in April/May.
If you are detouring through Portlaw, do so with care and heed to the speed limit and stop signs, as apparently there have been a few near misses, also speed traps recently have caught dozens of speeders.

Cheerd pal for the info I only use that way in the mornings and return trough Waterford City in the evenings , But the people of Portlaw must be annoyed with the increase in traffic volume trough their village

    Thanks again
