If you have a business as a sole trader , eg, My Name T/A Something. How difficult is it to change it to My Name T/A Something Else, Do you just notify the CRO and Revenue of name change and open a new bank account? Am I missing anything

You can have as many trading names (RBNs) as you like. You don't need separate revenue or bank accounts as it is you who is the bank account-holder or taxable person. All you need to do is register your new additional name. You can open as many bank accounts as you like, if it makes life simpler for you!
