bare root tree planting

i got a couple of bare root apple trees today of a friend for free as he didnt want them as he bought to many and has no where to put them he only got them a few days ago but the ground where i want to plant them isnt great so it will be a few days before i can sort out the ground, now will these trees be ok left in the…

i got a couple of bare root apple trees today of a friend for free as he didnt want them as he bought to many and has no where to put them he only got them a few days ago but the ground where i want to plant them isnt great so it will be a few days before i can sort out the ground, now will these trees be ok left in the shed or should i plant them in some sort of container untill the ground ive chosen is ready for planting,any advice would be great thanks.

Best thing is to find an area where you can heel them in temporarily till you are ready to plant them in their chosen position.;) Here's an explanation :
