Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How would you secure this mount?

My GPS mount's bottom piece is like this. My complete mount has 3/4 parts, and hence is quite expensive -- but it connects to the bars the same way like in the pic, more or less.

Clearly all it takes to steal the mount is to undo these two bolts and away you go.

Any tips on ways to secure it? Some sort special nut?

If you only ever plan to use it on one bike, then loctite it. U Bolts aren't that expensive anyway so you could always get another when you get a new bike.

But who is gonna steal a GPS mount? The GPS presumably won't be left attached when you are away from the bike?

You can get the nuts with different allen holes in them that take special keys. Easiest thing is get them spot welded also.....

I've had the exact same mount on my handlebars for the last 5 years without issue.

Blob of weld between the nut and threads.

    Scrap the cap!
