If he should also keep a pack of Fishermans friend in his pocket then drop me a pm.

oh dear, no. Fishermans Friend is way too sharp and high-pitched - ruins the earthiness.

I had it used on me about a decade ago for an 'intimate' shave pre abdominal surgery. I'm shuddering at the memory of that day. It's not fun laying back legs akimbo being shaved and making awkward small talk with a nurse who is shaving your va jj with a razor blade.

I just got an exfoliating one the other week, it's quite nice. It really does dry the skin out but plenty of body lotions be grand

it's the small talk that really makes that horrifying. "Going anywhere nice on your holidays?"

I use talc, bar soap (lush), shower gel or body lotions in different combinations depending on my mood and what kind of day it is. I just like having the options.

On a hot day it's nice to put a little puff of talc in your socks (if you wear runners constantly like me) keeps your feet fresh and sweat free

Never had a fisherman's friend in my mouth but I'd say it would taste awful.

Ah, everything is carcinogenic these days...

Studies have shown it increases the risk of ovarian cancer by around a third.

Anyway, I thought only babies, fat people and old ladies use it;)

My mother has carbolic soap. She buys it because she was in an institution when she was a child and reminds her of it. She hated every second there so not sure why she wants to be reminded of mean nuns and priests!

Ill never buy bar soap. Liquid all the way for me.

Hell yes. Cant beat the old bar of imperial leather. Nothing nice then the smell of it when you take it out of its wrapper.
That fancy dan liquid soap in a dispenser is just a fad.

I have really greasy hair and if I wash it everyday it makes it worse. So I stopped washing it every day and on the second day I use baby powder/talc to make it look less oily. I prefer it to dry shampoo.

Talc doesn't seem to be as popular anymore....I noticed it's banned in the swimming pool changing rooms at home??? No idea why??? Something to do with asthmatics??

    Lush? Is that a shop?

I have Imperial Leather soap and a bottle of Old Spice. If I could just find a man who smokes vanilla scented tobacco in his pipe while sipping whiskey after a salty swim, I think I would swoon altogether.

It's sort of like a more pungent Body Shop. Just walking past it would give you a headache from the clash of scents. It's a place to avoid if you have a sensitive nose.

I think it's banned because of the mess caused by over enthusiastic use.

Back in the day when it contained arsenic and/or asbestos it was carcinogenic, the stuff around now isn't.

I use talc during the summer on my boobs. Big boobs can get, er, sweaty during the summer and putting on talc after a shower and before the bra goes on keeps them nice and dry and fresh.

A small sprinkle of baby powder in the work boots in the morn keeps the feet from getting sweaty through the day.

best quick fix ever for a case of barmans arse is talc.

I used to use it on the carpets, but I have all tile and laminate floors now.

I'm kinda mystified and amused at the same time.

My friend swears that talc is miraculous for getting sand off the kids when you leave the beach. I haven't tried it out myself yet.

Well, that stuff is rubbish. But shake a bit of talcum powder over your carpet before you hoover gives it a great freshening up.
