Yes they have. Corresponding fixtures mean sweet **** all. It's not like they've all the big teams left in their last 8 games. I'll be shocked if their points total isn't a reasonable margin bigger than last season.

After 29 games they were 11 points ahead of the same stage last season, no matter what way you try and spin it.

They're a better indicated than the same number of games played ffs
    Easier games = more points

After 29 games last season they'd played Tottenham Chelsea Everton away & man city Swansea home. games they took 1 point from

They've already got 3 from them this season, last sunday, that's the only reason they're 2 points up

They're not doing as much better points as everyone makes out.

6-8 better is the most they'll be at the end ill bet, they won all the fixtures from Everton on last year fwicr

hardly a reasonable margin 6-8 points.

I just wanna know if Owen criticised him....would be fairly ironic after his Cissokho/Sakho stuff.

A very embarrassing display from Arsenal again today.
Surely they are not this bad although other results probably say otherwise.
Lots of money to spend in the summer if Wenger can get his hands into his pockets.
Going to have the beat the same drum I've been beating since the start of the last calendar year when the "great form" started.

    L 13 Jan - 2-0 loss to city
    L 20 Jan - 2-1 loss to Chelsea
    D 30 Jan - 2-2 draw with Liverpool
    L 19 Feb - 3-1 Loss to Munich. Schooled
    L 3 Mar - 2-1 loss to Spurs
W 13 Mar - Beat Munich without making them look uncomfortable.
    D 16 Apr - 0-0 Draw with Everton
D 28 Apr - 1-1 Draw with United when they had nothing to play for.

    W 1 Sep - 1-0 win against Spurs.
    W 1 Oct - Beat Napoli 2-0
    L 22 Oct - 2-1 loss to Dortmund
    W 2 Nov - 2-0 win against Liverpool
    W 6 Nov - 1-0 win against Dortmund
    L 10 Nov - 1-0 loss to United
    D 8 Dec - 1-1 draw with Everton
    L 11 Dec - 2-0 loss to Napoli
    L 14 Dec - 6-3 loss to City
    D 23 Dec - 0-0 draw with Chelsea
    L 8 Feb - 5-1 loss to Liverpool
    D 12 Feb - 0-0 draw with United
    L 19 Feb - 3-1 loss to Munich
    D 11 Mar - 1-1 draw with Munich
    W 16 Mar - 1-0 win against Spurs
L 22 Mar - Massive loss against Chelsea

I make that 6 wins, 7 draws and 11 losses against good opposition. Arsenal had something to play for in all of them while there were times when the opposition had nothing to play for (dead rubbers against Munich, United last year having won the league). Results haven't been great for a while, the run of fixtures at the end of last season and start of this season made a massive difference.

Makes no odds if he was 2 , 4 , 10 ,12 , 16 ,18 off the goal line , last man and deliberate handball or am I missing something here or are you just being pedantic ?

Easy to play against a team who are 4 up and couldn't give a toss about pushing on anymore.

How can you make a call like that when he's not even a full season into his Arsenal career? Robert Pires, a World Cup winner upon joning Arsenal was pretty poor in his first season, look how that turned out. That's just one example, I could think of countless other examples at Arsenal and other clubs of players who had difficult first seasons but eventually acclimatized, many of those players commanded large transfer fees.

Ozil has come into the PL in a fiercely competitive season. Up until today there were 4 teams believing they had a shot at the title, another 3 or 4 going for a CL place and about 7 or 8 teams looking over their shoulders hoping to avoid relegation. Honestly, people will jump at any opportunity to slate Ozil.
It's beyond retarded to spend so much money on a player and play him in a side that isn't set up to suit his strengths at all.

We have the benefit of a slow mo replay , the ref see's it real time .

Pedantic about the yards off the line but it has been mentioned on here a few times. Deliberate hand ball is a yellow card offence not a red. To deny a goal scoring opportunity from hand ball the ball has to be going in surely ?

Carzola's weight will balloon when he retires, I can imagine him baked in some shít hole in Mexico, picking at day old taco sauce out of his belly button.

We have the benefit of a slow mo replay , the ref see's it real time .

He didn't see it in real time. He made no reaction to indicate a penalty until he was harrassed by the Chelsea players. He further proved he didn't see it by sending off the wrong player.

What I don't understand is that we played great against bayern Munich who played a lot better then Chelsea today yet Chelsea have destroyed us and we have been terrible. A complete joke today. Had we played with the same desire as against bayern. Who knows. Silly mistakes from arsenal that we never made against bayern.

Arsenal's naivety in big matches is alarming ,they are like a team of kids .

What was Wenger thinking sending a team out with Arteta and Chamberlain in central midfield .
That Chelsea team is designed to play primarily on the counter attack with pace and Wenger duly obliges by playing a high line with 2 slow centre backs and a midfield with zero protection.
    Kamikaze stuff.

As I said above , we have the benefit of the slow mo reply , the ref does not,

He deserved his red ( although Gibbs got it) , plain and simple , was a stupid thing to do.

    6-0

So far it it turns out it makes as much sense as Owen has.
