Ronnie looking very comfortable out there. Hope he wins

Could be 16-0 before the day is out, Ronnie is looking unstoppable

What a century from Ronnie. Excellent. Done in style too.

Come on Mark, you need this to settle the nerves going into the break!

Boring, predictable, never dictates the game, always chasing. Does that suffice as a no?

Ah come on now. Did you not see the game between him and Robertson last night? Safety was top drawer and some excellent break building. He has beaten ronnie in 3 finals also

Wouldn't say he is as good as ronnie but he is a great player not settled yet

I fear the only snooker I'll get to see is today. Could be over quite early tomorrow at this rate.

Genuinely hope selby merely hasnt settled as opposed to believing deep down that he has no chance of winning

Ronnie will capitalize on this chance

    Selby is rattled

Miles behind Ronnie which is being proven as we speak. If he wants to be competing in these finals he has to be compared to the very best, a good snooker player but lacks that cutting edge and guile.

Can anyone more up on the rules than me advise why the referee moved the white there about 5 minutes ago?

Keep the commentary and updates coming please - I'm stuck in work and can't watch

Is Ronnie just going to gallop away with it? sounds like it from the posts so far.....

    Good stuff!!

    Ronnie 3 - 1 Selby

Unpredictable Ronnie again, different class but his concentration leaves him down at times. Still one of the greatest ever and will go on to win this easily, luckily it's only selby today.
Only Selby? Ok, he's been having a poorish season by his standards but at his best he's a fantastic player. Don't really like watching him but there's no doubt he's a fantastic player with a great attitude to the game.

That might settle him. There were a few tricky pots to take the frame.

Behind ronnie yes. But so is every1 else. Him, Robertson.Ding are capable of beating him. Anyway he didn't well that mini session and came out 3-1 so hopefully he will tighten up on the safety.

Must have been after a foul shout when a player is entitled to have the balls replaced and put his opponent in again. Only time a referee can move a ball as far as i'm aware

    From the rules here

    http://ibsfnews.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=82:rules-of-snooker&Itemid=372

    8. Touching Ball

    (g) If a stationary object ball, not touching the cue-ball when examined by the referee, is later seen to be in contact with the cue-ball before a stroke has been made, the balls shall be repositioned by the referee to his satisfaction. This also applies to a touching ball which later, when examined by the referee is not touching, the balls shall be repositioned by the referee to his satisfaction.

Needs this. To be only 3-2 down after losing the first 3 wouldn't be too bad at all! Plenty to do in this frame first though

  • Registered Users Posts: 179 ✭✭AlwaysAnyTime

    Come onnnnnnn Ronnnnnnie

  • Registered Users Posts: 179 ✭✭AlwaysAnyTime

    Great safety shot from Selby

It's amazing that that frame was so important to win for Selby in a 35 frame match

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

    Score?

    Is it 3-2 now???

  • Registered Users Posts: 179 ✭✭AlwaysAnyTime

    Yeah 3-2 to Ronnie,

Selby has a great chance now to level the game

How the hell can Ronnie pot and play such great snooker with both hands.

Ambidextrous snooker genius . Love the slowmo replays .

God given obviously....seem to recall he had to play a match left-handed against one of the snooker elders, maybe john spencer or someone like that, to prove he wasnt taking the piss
