Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm hesitant to say it, but going forward M Utd almost look...

    ... confident.

    Now don't get ridiculous!

    Nice goal tbf

Rooney on track for the luckiest hatrick ever.

Remeber Kuyt's hat-trick against United years ago. If I remember correctly the entire hat-trick totalled about 4 feet from the goal line.

If Carroll is the best free kick taker West Ham have I'm surprised they're not lower in the table

  • Lovely first touch from Mata, cynical from Taylor. There is defiantly more goals today for us.

    De Gea passes like Xavi.

Whether he's right or wrong, whether it's his fault or not, I really do NOT miss seeing Carroll sitting on the ground with his hands in the air every 5 mins, for Liverpool.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,345 ✭✭✭keeponhurling

United are doing relatively ok on Carroll and dealing with the long balls and crosses

Fellini is doing alright, even if it isn't the highest quality of game ever

Anyone else find Kevin Nolan's face immensely smackable?

Nice to wake up of a Sunday morning to us winning a match.
    Certainly makes a change anyway.

Mata is the best player on the park.

    Young is brutal.

You talking about this game? That's just half time?

    Good half from United.

West Ham have been pure shite.

Rooney's confidence is sky high just like that shot.

I see Nani is on the bench, wonder will he get a run at some stage ?

Rafael and young are just terrible

He really is useless. No confidence at all.

Thought Rooney was going to bury that one.

I think this is good stuff from United. All No. 10's playing well, maybe we can emulate Barca and simply not have a striker!

Let's pretend Young wasnt playing there, that lad might as well go book a long summer holiday now.

If it stays like this I would like to see Mata come off, Kagawa go in the hole and Nani come on. Anyone else?

We need to buy more number 10s

Would love to see Nani get a decent run in the team for the rest of the season.

He's by far our best winger when he's on form.

    No.

    Young off, Nani on.

    That's it.

Mata has had a good half, fantastic first touches and link up play. Pity Shinji is suffering because of it

I still have some faith in this team that they can hold onto a 2 nil lead against a pretty average.

I thought our defending couldn't be worse than Stoke last week.
    I was wrong.
You'd also think that, with Carroll up front, we'd be able to cross the ball. I think our best crosses recently have come from Carroll himself.

Agree, distribution is second to none, shot stopping is excellent and is improving with corners and crosses. What we have here my friends is one of the best keepers in the world.

Also it appears Moyes has stumbled across a formation that works for us. Kagawa Mata and Rooney all linking really well. With some signings and sales this formation could really work. But not with Mata on the wing, he hasn't got the pace or work ethic for the wing but is showing some signs of his quality today. Which begs the question who plays up top Rooney or RVP?

Young needs to go, he is such a nothing player, so frustrating. I know Valencia is no world beater but he has a big heart and always puts in a good shift at least which is more than I can say for young.

Rafael also having a poor season compared to last season, so rash in his tackles although today he's been unlucky, he couldn't actually get out of the way it looked, I think the yellow was harsh.

New CB LB CM and Winger and we might start to build something next season (hopefully) :)

If even. Their 1 dimension is terrible. I don't think United are finished scoring here.

Did anyone see him yesterday morning for the UCL draw,he looked like somebody who'd been out on the beer all night before & was found asleep in the car park.

All these crosses and corners from West Ham is disgraceful. Playing absolute dire football.

Who do they think they are? Manchester United?

Pack your bags ladies and gentlemen, the hype train is about to leave the station.

Seriously though, it's far too early to say that, and for a lot of people, me included, there are still flaws in his game.

You shouldn't be defending this deep against a team who just look for long balls and crosses

    Push up

    Downing swapped over.

Amazing the improvement in our play when players actually run with the ball and move rather than pass it 5 yards sideways then hoof it long. It's only taken 'til now for Moyes to find that out.

Best keeper in the league tbh.
