Are we sure it's alphabetical because in that case I'm beat out!

It's not done alphabetically. It's all done on merit. They get a list with everyone in order and they start at the top and contact the following "x" amount of recruits. Settle. They've done this before, calls on both sides of the weekend.

Huge congrats to those who got the call and have patience those in limbo xx

I would also agree its not done alphabetically and on merit.

Relax guys anyone who hasn't got the call. There will definitely be more on Monday and possibly Tuesday. I'd written myself off during the last calls and ended up getting my call 4 days before induction lol so there's always hope!!

I'm assuming so. Badi's name wasn't on the November list over the weekend.

They did say it will cause a delay.

So im thinking at least another four months like my last vetting.

Gutted. Should have said nothing lol but living less than 12 months with her i dunno if its that important.

I nearly had the same issue as you it will be 12 months in a relationship just before training starts she had to call me back to check if I still qualified

How does that work Ivan do you have to disclose anything over 12 months? Not living with girlfriend but I did have to put down her family in vetting forms.

When I got the call they ask you a few short questions on change of circumstances such as medical issues, change of address and also are you currently in a relationship that has lasted over 12 months mine will be 12 months just before training commences

I could have kept my mouth shut and said no but as is always the policy when dealing with the Police Service honesty will get you a lot further than trying to hide something

I'm only assuming here but I guess that 12 months constitutes a serious commitment when it comes to vetting

Yes it was just this morning.

I got the call back and it wont affect anything.

Ill see you all in hotel Gv.

To everyone else waiting the call will come!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,696 ✭✭✭Mop a top

    Well done my lovely!!

If you put her on the vetting form I couldn't see it taking much longer to check out since they've probably checked her out already.

I didn't think there's many perks to being the crazy cat lady but it seems like there is :D

Its gone very quiet on here these past 2 hours...hoping there might be more calls!

So it all comes down to tomorrow for this intake (if there are any more calls). I'll be devastated if I don't hear anything! Add to lack of call, a rubbish day in work didn't help matters!
