You should definitely. My ex lived 50+ away and he was offered accommodation for the entire course but that was a few years ago

The do offer permanent accommodation, though I believe it is on a per case basis (I think 150 miles would definitely count on that one). Just approach the staff early about it.

Just had a chance chat with an officer this morning who mentioned that the last batch that started had 50 recruits with only 30 showing up at GV. Not sure it I can believe those stats. Head melted!

Second intake haven't started GV yet, but it is correct that there are around 30 odd.

First intake had low 40s but this suggests 39 now.

I hope these no show spots are maybe turned into another intake for people who really want it and will actually turn up.

I think they are. Someone who went to one of the new campaigns events asked and was they are used in future intakes

The PSNI recruitment rep told me definitely 378 from our 2013 campaign so they'll keep taking groups from our pool until it's filled. Just got to keep hanging in there. I'm sure they allow for drop outs. Give 50 folk a call then see how many shows up. Room for us yet guys!! Positive thoughts. We ARE getting a call!!! Eventually lol

Quite a few I reckon. I wonder if they changed the 5 weeks thing to stop people trying to predict when things are going to happen or contact them about dates etc?

Not sure. Maybe they've got enough through the final stages and in our waiting game that they've decided to do it more regularly, every 4 weeks would that make it?
