Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    This article might be of interest to some people here. Irish military spending is now the lowest in the EU and despite the amazing work of the Irish military, it's cratering funding is limiting its ability to act.

    Read it earlier - I'm not sure what the author was trying to prove. Yes, defence spending is low but in terms of deterrent effect etc he wasn't very clear on who we should actually be trying to deter?

    Plus the comparison between us and the UK is a false one - our respective national interests and foreign policy objectives are not comparable.
