    Hi
I have full buildings insurance through the management fee in my apartment but want to get cover for contents. How much would be typical for a 2 bed apartment? I presume it is to cover kitchen, bathroom, flooring, wardrobes etc. as well as actual possessions (appliances, clothing, tv, stereo etc.). I was thinking around €60k?

60k would seem on the high side to me. Are your contents really worth that much?

Contents insurance can be as low as 20k.

How much depends on the replacement value of what you own. If everything you own is designer then your value will be vastly difference to someone with non designer etc. 52" led tv against old fashioned 32" box. It all comes down to what you own. Kitchen units, bathroom sanitary ware, tiled floors, fitted wardrobes are not contents, they are buildings. If you have timber floors you need to check with man co to see if they are covered by block
