Siren at 12pm in Ballsbridge

    Hoping somebody knows what this is.

    I often hear a siren, like an air raid noise in Ballsbridge at about noon.

    Any ideas what this is?

    Could be from Cathal Brugha Barracks, training drills, etc...

    I'd agree. The siren in rathmines does carry, I believe its just a test for emergencies/mobilisation

    As mentioned, probably CBB. Once a week, it's the "everything's ok alarm".

    I've always wondered that as well, I hear it in work on Baggot Street! It does sound like an air raid siren :D
