Hi, Just wondering if anyone out there knows anything about this (sometimes shortened to NICOM) or knows where I could get some research papers.

    Greatly appreciated in advance

A quick google suggests that NICOM stands for non invasive cardiac output monitoring. It sounds like a pedantic distinction, but is actually pretty important. For example, an ECG would qualify as non invasive cardiac monitoring, whereas alone it gives you almost no indication as to the cardiac output.
Another important reason to make the distinction is that if you google "non invasive cardiac output monitor" the first result you get is a peer-reviewed article outlining the current state of the art.
This seems pretty lazy on your part.
