Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anybody think that the fact one has been a Reserve for 3 years would be much benefit to being accepted to a foreign police force? Any of the Australian ones especially?

I got on very well as a Reserve and would like to think that I will have a good reference.

    Thanks

Demonstrating any sort of frontline policing experience would be of benefit

    Go for it!

if you get the opportunity to go for any police force you are interested in then go for it as being a reserve will stand to you and will bring a lot to the table .
also the uk police force required a full uk driving licence, does anyone know if a full Irish driving licence is acceptable from an irish applicant.
did anyone out there apply for the Uk or PSNI and how did you get on ?

Once resident full time in UK you can exchange driving licences.
Best to get a base in UK and National Insurance number. This will take about six weeks (maybe less) but you will need to prove UK residency so your name will have to be on a Utility bill

Most uk forces have a 3 year residency rule that they wont waive even for irish citizens. Scotland have introduced it too. You can apply for psni though

PSNI has a dedicated forum which you have already seen, as you said above. I would suggest this thread is for discussion of joining police forces other than AGS or PSNI.
