If you stay up, what's the figure the fans would pay to keep him do you reckon?

£10m seems to be the consensus mate. I'd find it hard to see us spending that much on one player if we do stay up though, those days of us spending big money are gone.

Sunderland playing with a back 5? Vergini is a cb isn't he?

Dossena starts. There's no-one else for us with Alonso suspended, but Jesus Christ he is shocking. What was he like at Liverpool?

    You already answered it :pac:

Que him dinking Mignolet with a perfect lob now on 90 mins.

Yep, that seems to be the formation. 5-3-2.
    Mannone

    O'Shea Brown Vergini

    Bardsley
    Dossena

    Cattermole Bridcutt

    Giaccherini

    Altidore Wickham

Scored against United and Real Madrid within a few days of each other, not many left backs can say that.

Other then that, he couldn't defend to save his life.

He made 40 thousand mancs disappear at old trafford few years back.

Donkey Doss was so bad, he made you nostalgic for Traore.

In Altidore and Wickham, possibly the worst strike pairing ever in the Premiership? This is a nailed-on Liverpool win, by 3 goals at least.

Niall Quinn - "Liverpool are absolutely blazing".

Turns out Liverpool are now smoking whatever they were smoking over there in the Emirates, too.

Suarez 3/10 to score anytime. Must be the shortest price I have ever seen.

Hoping for a Liverpool win and a good game of football.

Sunderland will be dangerous from set pieces.

    3-1 to Liverpool.

Remember we were in for Wickham and some were annoyed at missing out?

Messi and Ronaldo are usually about 1/4 at home in La Liga I think. Definitely would be the shortest Premier League price I can recall though.

    Good times.

I remember that. A lot of Liverpool fans were raging when we managed to sign him a few years ago.

That said, the man has been treated harshly I think. He's only ever had one run in the team and he scored for two games in a row during that before getting injured in his third start. Bruce was then sacked when he was recovering and O'Neill was never there to judge him but didn't seem to rate him. Di Canio commented that he was a bit of a playboy and doesn't apply himself in training, but he's shown he can do it when out on loan lately.

I dare say that if he was given as many opportunities as Altidore and Fletcher have had this season that we might have been pleasantly surprised. He can't be judged fairly until he gets a run of 8-10 games and I will be extremely angry if his Sunderland career ends without him getting that sort of opportunity.

He is only 20 years old so plenty of time for him to come good. From tomorrow though.

He'll round off LFC's 4-0 victory by lobbing his own keeper.

I think we're gonna see a lot of pop shots tonight. Mannone is a good keeper so will need to be a good one to beat him.
