Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Johnson's got blinkers on. Can't make a pass at all

Johnson? I counted 3 but probably is another in there alright. He's certainly our weak link tonight so far.

And again with a poor cross. So much of our play is going through him though.

    Johnson has been putrid.

Johmson's never going to end up at United with crossing like that.

Sunderland appear to be playing a 1-8-2 formation.

    Johnson dire so far

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

That was a fairly blatant one..

And I don't think Johnson has been as bad as people are making out... Suarez has lost the ball as much as him in the final third.

    Poor stuff alright.

m genuinely not trying to pick on him here :pac:

Allen hasn't been much better, but Johnson is a top attacking full back so I'm told.

But "even when he is not playing well he is one of the best right backs around"

What's that weird circular thing beside Liverpool's name on the scoreboard?

Cattermole has made two tackles and hasn't been sent off. I'm shocked.

Have to give kudos to Poyet, he's got Sunderland set up pretty well here. His back three effectively allows the three central defenders to man mark our three attackers. By swamping the midfield as well, he's preventing anything coming through the middle.

The key in this game will be to deploy our full backs high up the pitch - that's the best way to create space and double up on defenders.

Agreed. As Knex said this is where Enrique would be useful.

A right footed Flanagan isn't really the answer here.

Johnson's poor execution thus far isn't helping.

I still think there are goals in this team and we just need a touch of class or a bit of luck. If Sunderland surprise us with a goal though I'd be very worried

Is that 6 sec rule that the goalie can hold the ball still in ? Sunderland keeper pushing his luck if it is
