Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I'd be tempted to wear a United jersey for this If I thought it would help.

    Obviously take a **** on it afterwards and then put it in the bin.

    As a Liverpool fan I really want UTD to win. They've hit a bit of form now with two wins and two clean sheets. We all know City can be beaten, and I believe they don't enjoy playing mid week games. I think UTD will benifit from no RVP, Rooney up front on his own, with Mata just behind him should cause trouble for City's defence.

    2 wins against poor opponents is hitting form? 180 minutes ago of football, Moyes was a goal away from the sack apparently.

    Not letting those two results taint my view here at all. City will be as up for it as pool were and have a better team than them. Not looking forward to this at all.

    Reckon it'll be

    DDG
    Rafael Jones Carrick Evra
    Fellani Giggs
    Januzji Kagawa Mata
    Rooney

    v

    Hart
    Zabelta Kompany Demichilis Kolarov
    Fernandinho Yaya
    Nasri Silva
    Dzecko Negredo

    Have to say City look likely to win maybe 0-3.

    Gonna feel dirty hoping they win tonight but needs must. Just pretend ferguson is still standing on the sidelines lads come on you reds.

    City more likely to start with Negredo up on his own (Dezko sick for last game not sure if he can play) with Milner in for his work rate and tracking back

    Id also like to see Lescot start ahead of Demichelis as i don't rate him

    1-3 i think without RVP i dont see utd outscoring us and i can see Yaya and Fernadinhio bossing midfield.

    What'll happen will happen, it's pretty much a no-lose game when teams like this meet. I'm going to be happy if City drop points but I'm not going to be sad if United lose.

    I will a bit.

    City are still the team in the driving seat with their games in hand.

    This is one of their tougher games. You would hope there's a chance of dropped points.

    Would be a massive boost if United nick something tonight.

    I'd expect a City win, but I'd hold some hope for United.

    C'mon you Red Devils! (Am I doing it right?)

    There are a few of us banging around we just didn't have much to shout about until the last few seasons.

    I actually expected to see a lot more City "Fans" coming out of the closet since then!!

    No, but in the context of things it will please me. If this game were a month later and things were still really tight or in Liverpool's favour with a utd win, then I probably would. Too early yet though to sully myself with things like that, although I still would like to see utd do us a favour.

    Let's see if I have this right:

    "M A N, U T D;
    Utd are the team for me;
    with a knick knack paddywhack give a dog a bone;
    why don't City <expletive deleted> off home;"

    :)

    Don't worry, normal service will be resumed after tonight.

    If Utd play either Mata or Kagawa central behind Rooney they have a chance. Based on the opinion that only one of these will start, Zabaleta or Kolarov will cause mayhem if either start wide....IMO

    nope and i cant take that chance, i've never been so happy i'll miss a big game, I'd feel dirty.

    Joseph Fritzl type dirty

    so to avoid that I'd take city pounding united by maybe 5 and then arsenal do city Saturday

    Manchesterpool to win by a last minute peno from an outrageous Rooney dive.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,586 ✭✭✭jaykay74

    If Utd are to lose my preference would be from an underhit backpass.

    5 w, 1 d

    yeah but form goes out the window when Liverpool fans want United to win!:D

    I think City will win tonight. No RVP coupled with United's dismal home form, by their standards, gives City the edge. United will battle hard and this won't be easy for City but I think they will get the result they need. If they win here, at Arsenal and then get something at Liverpool, which they are more than capable of doing, they deserve to win the league, in my opinion.

  • Wishing Buttner get's a start after his performance at the weekend.
    Also, Rafael needs to keep his discipline he's doing my nut in this season with silly free kicks / cards and I fear his discipline will let him down again if he start's tonight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

    Easy three points for City.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,751 ✭✭✭newballsplease

    Going with 1-3 to City

    Utd to be outplayed in Midfield again. Moyes to set up team with negative attitude and City to pounce on poor defence.

    United have come into games already this season with the boost of a victory....only to fluff their lines.

    Really can't see beyond City. Man U might be able to use the adrenaline of it being a derby to grab a point but I'll eat my ****ing hat if they win.

    City to score 3, united to score at least 1... maybe 2. Expect city to get the win anyway.
