    Hey Guys

My little girl loves music. I have a wind up mobile but was looking at something like the following: http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/9087086.htm

It has been out of stock for weeks and there is none available second hand really on adverts, Smyths have them but at 32 euros

Just wondering does anyone have something similar? just looking for options out there.....

Anyone have any idea's? what else is in the market and would be good, looking for something to play music and have remote....the addition of lights onto ceiling would be great

I have recently got this, and it's one of the best buys I've got. It has 3 music settings, I tend to use just the lullaby music at night, no lights, and during the day if I need a few minutes I can turn on the rotating animals and the animal sounds, he loves it!
It grows wit the baby, you can remove the animals when baby can pull himself up and hav the music box, and this is where the lights come in. It projects onto the ceiling, and it's all in a timer, 30 mins. It can then change into a bedside lamp when you are moving baby into a bed.
It is expensive, but the fact that you can change it into a lamp means you'll get great use out of it. I've only used the music part so far, the lights will b great when he gets a bit older and easier to settle down by himself.

    I have this one http://www.toys.ie/Tomy-Starlight-Dreamshow-!100591-prd.aspx
My baby loves the music from it. We don't use it at night I will just put it on for him if I need to do housework. The images are (very old school!) Winnie the Pooh! To be honest Katie Melba album has same effect :) I did read though if you are having trouble getting your baby to sleep that you shouldn't use these things as it stimulates them before bed? Don't know how true it is though!

No problems getting her to sleep, she just likes music so it was something I was going to get her, she sits in her cot just looking around for about 10 mins in the morning so would be nice if I could switch on some music for her....have camera on her so can see her just looking around

    We have

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mickey-Mouse-Clubhouse-Projector/dp/B00GW1O2YG

    and this:

even at 2 and 3 the kids love it and its on every night.

I got a present of a massive mobile like the one above and they loved it too but you have to take it off the cot when they can sit up, so the base part would want to be interesting enough for them.

Its the projector part they love, they both hated telly until the were well past 2 but they loved the projector for bad time.
