p10 error on a pixma

I was in the middle of printing last night when the MP 282 pixma printer stopped and displayed a P10 error. I have googled around and tried a couple of suggestions but the printer still displays the message and no go. Has anyone come across this before, has any suggestions as how to fix it!. Any help appreciated
