Yeah i don't anymore since I'm not having micro awakenings or whatever. Used to be up a couple times a night.
I drink loads of water and sometimes tea

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,548 ✭✭✭✭Mr. CooL ICE

I'd drink maybe 3-4l throughout the day. But I'd stop perhaps 2 hours before going to bed, except for one last slug to quench any possible thirst. Still need to get up and pee once every now and again.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,064 ✭✭✭j@utis

Yeah, I get up to pee too. I've read somewhere that your bladder gets used to being emptied more often than you'd like, including the night time. I got into this habit after my son was born, he hadn't slept overnight until he was like 2.5yo, so I was up with him 1-2 times at night, and now I have this little annoying problem. I know I should cut out my evening cuppas but it's so nice to sit down and relax with a warm cup of tea late in the evening :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,486 ✭✭✭caviardreams

Maybe I will try a cut off - no liquid after 8  But I agree @jautis, so nice to have a mug of something late at night to unwind. Sorry bluey, I have totally taken over your log with my bladder chat, I must have thought it was named "Can I go too"? :D

    today's meet:
i got up and didn't want to do it. to be honest. i was not excited and i just wanted a nap

Squats: psyched myself out, dropped the opener from 100 to 95, result was
    95 / 102.5 / 110.
apparently the 110 was my best form ever. no tilting forward. ????? the 102.5 had a lot of tilt to the point where hanley had a quick word with the spotters before my 110 to basically be like 'she tilts forward a lot. it's ok tho. go with it'
    so that's a +5kg PR

    Bench: 57.5 / 60xF / 60x F
    bench can bite me tbh

    Deadlift: 125 / 132.5 / 137.5xF
I got 2 red lights on the 137.5. not even 3, just 2. because i DIDNT ****ING LOCK THE ****ING THING OUT PROPERLY
    ****
it was the toughest longest most epic fight of my entire life, it was SOOOOO SLOOOWWWWW and then it didn't count. i mean they were right to call it, i'm angry at myself
deadlifts can fcukin piss off anyway

so i got a squat PR, i got a total of 300kg, that's what i set out to do.
i think i'm a bit miffed because of the deadlift being at the very end but sure look
    there we go!

can't wait to see the videos and pics from the Nolift guys

I heard the studying was prep to get involved in crossfit. Which makes sense with the 'cardio'.

    Wow. You really hate yourself.

    "Actuary, I do hate myself".

That only works if you say it like Kim Jong Il in Team America...

It's not the cushioning that's the issue...it's getting down that far

Got my new program, 1-2 week recovery
Got an upset tummy an hour before gym time

    program:
HB squat, 4x10 rpe 7, coach suggested 50-55 and go from there
    reality:
    HB squat
    20 x5
    40 x2
    50 x 10, 9, 7
    40 x10

    morto
also i am in desperate need of foam rolling because i am STIFF

    -superset-

    incline db bench
    9kg 4x12

    'any rows i like'
    = MSR
    on a weird machine
    25kg 2x10
    20kg 2x10

I was tired and didn't feel like doing anything the rest of the week so i didn't. except 12 hours of No Man's Sky yesterday.
    i don't have a problem, YOU have a problem
could this be connected with cutting calories this week? survey says yes. i'll suck it up and drink vitargo this week

days 2&3 together mashed up into supersets as i saw fit:

    1a HB box squat 4x7 @ 6 rpe
    20 x2
    30 2x7 too easy so
    35 2x7

    -ss-

    1b DB bench 4x10 @ 7rpe
    7.510 x10
    10kg 3x10

super focused on my box squat form and didn't lean forward this time, was easier. woo

    2 Sumo 4x8 @ 7 rpe
    60 x3
80 x8 bit too heavy so
    70 3x8

bein too heavy may have been influenced by me picking up the thing and walking it over to the floor instead of the platform cos my socks were slipping on the shiny wood.
also i didn't check my knee tracking and got a twinge in my left knee  i'm sure it's grand tho

3 Feet up bench but legs hanging straight off the end not on the bench 4x6 @ 7rpe
decided to keep my legs straight and crossed my ankles
    nearly needed a diagram

    20 x8
    30 x6 too easy
    35 4x6

    4a Reverse lunge 4x12 @ 7 rpe
    bar x 12, 10,10,10
    -ss-
    4b DB sldl 4x12 @ 7 rpe
    10 x 12, 10,10,10

    5 Lat pd 4x10
    40 4x10

'meal prep' is lidl burgers and mash direct mash & carrots and parsnip or something. and a tesco gf df lasagne. i'm sooo healthy

feel good after today's program though!

    Soccer. Big red face
I'm getting better still though which is nice

I also got a mini tour of our work gym because i won a free membership of a month. And i think we all know what i need more of in my life is gym memberships.
There's only one rack so i might just use it for lunchtime cardio and maybe machine accessory stuff. I already said I'd do some awful class with the others on Thursday. I think theres burpees involved

Burpees??? This is how it starts. Don't listen to "the others" it's a cult! Alf was right when he said you were turning crossfit :(
