Let the discussion continue here :) Same rules apply, if you want to compare the One & PS4 please do so in the Games forum thread...this one is purely for Xbox One…

Its down to licensing, not the tv license but the license to distribute certain content to certain regions. Even on sky sometimes you'll have movies on channel 4 that won't display in the republic.

MOD NOTICE:

Just a quick update on the forum. We've recently made a small update to the forum charter, and we'd like you to take a look at it, just to re-familiarise yourselves with it.

The only change to it is the addition of a "No PS vs Xbox" rule. It's been added to the charter to expand the ban from just this thread to the entire Xbox forum.

you must be one of the few people I've ever known that has played street fighter 1.

for me it began and ended with 2, oh the fanboy wars between snes owners who got slightly better graphics and the megadrive camp who got more characters and a faster game.

Street Fighter 2: Championship Edition.

It's a 24 mb cartridge. TWENTY FOUR!! <12 year olds nod sagely at the level of super computing this represents>.

Twas downhill for SF for me since then.

And incidentally, whilst we give out about game prices today. I'm pretty sure my folks paid £70 for that for my Christmas present.

You need to check out super sf2, super sf4 and sf alpha 2

By far the best sequels \ upgrades in the franchise imo

Yeah but u got max 3 games a year and u played the shít outta them, with physical real mates in your living room - pausing to finish your chomp, dip dab or cadete orange ;-)

Is anyone else not getting notifications for friends signing in?

Last few days nothing pops up when someone signs in even though I have notifications for everything on.

Are you appearing online? If your offline I think it stops notifications popping up.

Could be just Xbox live services not functioning correctly. Go to your network settings and see if there's any service alert up.

Honestly don't know but it will only install one download at a time so it's probably the same for a disc and download install combo.

Last night messing around on the X1 I opened the xbox video app - bad mistake. It downloaded an update then I started getting errors about regions (I have the X1 set to US).

And now I can't buy content anymore. Won't accept credit card or paypal (which it did no problem before).
