didnt someone on here mention an Irish Terrier or a photo maybe? Within the last few months?!?

Gorgeous dogs - does it have to be an Irish Terrier specifically - the Airedales or Wire Haired Fox Terriers are lovely and quite similar

Irish Terriers are a very rare breed all right. They were only saying the same on Cruft's the other day. Gorgeous dogs!

Would you be prepared to go to the UK to get one OP? There's only two breeders with pups: http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/services/public/findapuppy/display.aspx?breed=3070&area=0

OT, but we've fallen in love with the Dandie Dimont terrier. There's only two breeders on the KC website, and they're both in Scotland. Got some hard thinking to do!

A friend when we lived in US bred Dandie Dinmonts - the were the nicest little dogs, but as a breed they can have some pretty serious health issues (backs and eyes). As you say, pretty rare and are on the Vulnerable Native Breeds list.

Thanks for all the info, yes they are a rare breed, when I looked on youtube all the videos are either Eastren Europe or USA some great clips by the way.The dog in Cruffs this year was bred up in the North and they operate a waiting list system, so it looks like I will have to import one, from all the research I have read it will be worth the effort.
