By definition, they are only here on a temporary basis. Why should they have a vote. On that basis we should be giving tourists a vote?

I agree, as residents of a refugee centre / asylum seeker they are not citizens and don't have a vote in these elections. Why has Joe not pointed this out?

Most of these centres are private facilities. I don't see politicians complaining that they can't canvas in hotels

Asylum seekers are only allowed to remain here as temporary residents while their application is being processed. I fail to see why they should have a vote at all.

I'm amazed that people with serious injuries would even contemplate leaving a health carer, especially if they have received a good service. I wouldn't take the chance of it all going belly up
