Did Joe even attempt to get the reasons for the ban on canvassing in asylum centres, eg did he seek clarification from whatever government body is responsible?

Asylum centres are supposed to be politically neutral.
I would imagine, but I could be wrong, it's to deter politicians from buying asylum seeker votes with all sorts of promises which may go against immigration laws. If this is the case, then the rule is eminently sensible.

Joe is getting so tiresome with his knee-jerk sticking-it-to-the man. He hasn't evolved beyond adolescence/student 'rebellion'.

~I thought the Nigerian woman's take on the situation in Nigeria was more informative than many of the bland reports we tend to get in the papers. Pity Biafra didn't come into being.
