Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Haven't caught all of this discussion, but did this lady say how much the prosthetic leg would cost?

She should get a grant to have the clothes peg removed from her nose.

She dodged that matter, claimed she had no idea.

It doesn't matter to her, the taxpayer should pay for it.... she says

Joe the idiot interrupted her just as she was about to claim that the HSE should also provide her with a free car

    Enough

Yeah, her saying that "we shouldn't have to pay for that either" irked me a bit.

Thanks, I was curious as to what the family's means were e.g. were one or both parents working, could they fund the purchase themselves.

Do you really have an issue with the state paying for something like this for a kid ?

What's the next step, retroactively charge kids for any medical care they received as soon as they turn 18, if they don't stump up, deduct it from their future earnings ?

Don't put words in my mouth, read the thread back for what I said.
For the record Louise was claiming she was hard done by the fact she didn't get a free car

In all fairness these bean counters and pen pushers have no business asking such questions.

If someone is dead, they're dead.

    End of story.

    So to speak.

Imagine insurance companies asking about the details of someone's illness.......do they not know that Joe reserves that right for himself to broadcast on the national airwaves?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,195 ✭✭✭bottlebrush

So is the lesson from this story not to go on holidays in case somebody belongs to you dies?

am i correct in assuming that there is a plethora of insurance brokers/companies offering travel insurance which one could loosely describe as dodgy.
I would try to stick with reputable companies when buying travel insurance.

shur Joe asks more intrusive questions than the insurance company does.. and he only does it for the enjoyment, at least they do it for the money.

This woman named her company as JWT.

The previous woman should have gone ahead and named the one who treated her so badly.

I hate all this "don't name them" business.

We can't have people going to these places and coming back cured. Would mean less callers to Liveline to talk about their ailments.
