Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Big ad for Sky there in the middle of the show.. And there was Joe acting all pious as if RTE wouldnt take Rupert Murdoch's money..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,723 ✭✭✭An Claidheamh

The Diaspora have been watching it on the internet for years.

They probably still will as most won't have Sky or will not go to/ be able to find a pub showing the matches.

Regardless of whether you care about Sky or not, this is a fact.

As do the pubs and clubs in America, when I lived there the feckers used to charge to go in and watch the games.

If they are all such huge supporters of the GAA, would they not go to their local club to watch it? Or do GAA clubs not have Sky?

There also seems to be an assumption that if these games were not on Sky, they would be on RTE or some other free to air. Is that necessarily the case? Whatever the complaints about Sky (or any subscription channels) they have greatly expanded the range of events that get televised.

Eugene McGee is very unhappy with it and made very similar points to what Maureen just made in the newspaper today.. why is she unhappy with him.. I think she meant Nicky Brennan..

    Ok.

So the only people who have it worse than the GAA, old people, country people, publicans, taxi drivers and the nurses are the teachers.
