And those transactions were not legal, they used a convoluted scheme with solicitors on both sides to effect the "sale" of the plates

I found from previous involvement with the GAA that certain people wwho were on expenses were the least likely ones to do something for nothing, these guys who seemed to form a clique of the own at senior club and county level expected the fools to do the fundraising while they themselves did sweet fa.
