Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A friend of mine lived up the road from Kensington Palace at the time. He said was never so scared as he was the week before Di's funeral. Hordes of Daily Mail Mummies swarming about the place stopping traffic and insisting people get out of their cars and pay their respects or have abuse screamed at them. He said it was bordering on mob rule.

    It was.

I took my GF down Ken Palace during the week for a look and there was an air of intimidation there and a deep genuine expressions of hatred towards the royal family. It was scary to think what could happen if all these Tim Henman Mummies actually rose up and revolted! I think Tony Blair actually pacified them for the week.

On the day of the funeral itself local pubs and businesses in our area were warned not to trade that day or risk being burned down by national front fanatics.

Queen Mother hated the Irish, or the 'Micks' as she referred to them on numerous occasions when toasting The Irish Gaurds.

I was living in London when Diana died.

After that week I have decided that no British person can ever take the piss out of the exagerrated mourning that takes place in North Korea whenever one of their leaders pegs it.

Most people stayed in and didn't give a toss - the vocal minority got all the attention.
The roads were empty - it was marvellous.
