I had an idea to use them as roofing and wall cladding for a small shed. I still don't see anything wrong with the idea - unless they're bio-degradeable now.

Coat of paint solves that problem. In fact, I might look at it again, as I need some cladding for the outside inner wall of my workshop, where it won't be exposed to the weather anyway.

I was driving in the Ringsend area of Dublin this morning and noticed a few 'babes' are standing for election. So maybe you might not need so much paint.
