Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Her point is that as long as Adams et al do not completely condemn the activities of the IRA in these murders, she will not trust them (along with many others).

    I completely agree with her.

It took her a while to get it across but I agree with her too.

Sinn Fein are very reminiscent of the NAZIs in 1930s Germany. They got elected by using populist slogans and nationalist rhetoric. When they got power they revealed their true nature.

I have greater respect for her for not forgiving those who murdered her sister.

I don't go in for all this forgive and love lark.

I've met Jo Berry and don't see how forgiving Patrick Magee has moved the peace precess forward one inch.

If it helps her cope, that's fair enough. But those who choose not to forgive should be given the same tolerance.

She makes a good point about the unfairness of putting pressure to forgive on the relatives of those murdered, in order to help the peace process move forward.

And if it wasn't Gerry Adams, why don't they say it wasn't Gerry Adams - I know they are afraid to say who did it, but why are they afraid to say who didn't do it, unless he did do it..., so to speak

I know there is fear and intimidation but

don't go on sky news and say you know who did it - go to the PSNI, tell them, be a anonymous informer, whatever, but tell what you know

I do not vote for the Shinners and I have no affiliation with them but I don't like slight and innuendo - if you know something say it and if you don't, don't insinuate someone has done something without proof

Stuff like this only helps their vote go up. :pac:

(nationalist in Ireland = Ireland under Irish rule

nationalist in Germany/France/Britain/Russia = other countries under their rule

    Not exactly the same thing).

The only people who can solve the problems of Northern Ireland are the people who live there. Unfortunately they don't seem to want to. They want to stay in their ghettos and insult each other at every opportunity. The Good Friday agreement was a great big fudge which will gradually unravel because attitudes have not changed one iota.

A McConville sister appeared on BBC Newsnight last week and claimed the family had already passed these names to the PSNI, but the PSNI weren`t interested. The only name they were interested in was Gerry Adams.

Why not simply sh1te on the compost heap? No need for any complicated gadgets?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 18,184 ✭✭✭✭Lapin

    It's simple.

Under 18s are considered children and are not contributors to household incomes.

    Over 18s are adults.

A line has to be drawn somewhere and 18 is the age of distinction for most other things.

Its got nothing to do with conservation awareness.

He does, but she was very quick to play the victim card there.

They're both as bad as each other.

    A typical Liveline set up.

I remember the story about a reporter who went out to farm outside Glasgow which had land that was very stony with poor soil.
When asked how he could improve his land, the farmer suggested that if every resident in Glasgow came to farm picked a stone and had a s**t he would have by have the richest soil in Scotland

You get an allowance already love. It's called disability allowance and carers allowance. How many more allowances do people want?

The day will come when clean drinking water is as scarce as oil.

Yes but how do they know you have a child living there - what if the child boards at school? What if it goes between parents in different households? Its a logistic nightmare. Tax credits is a good way, based on child benefit payments

Could this government have made this any more complicated than they did? I doubt it

I give it two weeks before we're trading armoured American muscle cars for water while wearing Mad Max leather ensembles and listening to LiveLive on bicycle powered transmitters.

Alternatively, people will just pay the charges for the water and things will continue on as is.
