Pete is cute with the flour on his face!

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,324 ✭✭✭keps

That was 40 minutes of wasted space.

And now they have five dishes to be cooked/assessed in 20 mins- crazy.

Did anyone have their 'Nan' as their inspiration?

    If not - I'm gutted:pac:

So Hercule and Paul look safe!

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,598 ✭✭✭Meauldsegosha

I have a chest infection so have been off my food the last few days. But Paul's steak has my tummy rumbling. :p

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,324 ✭✭✭keps

So the first three seem to be safe- not great for the last 2

I didn't rate Simon in the earlier rounds. But I think he is the dark horse in the completion.

They want Emma through - so it could be Pete in trouble

    Has to be

If I was betting I'd say Pete to go

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,598 ✭✭✭Meauldsegosha

It had to be Pete. Too many mistakes tonight.

Overall, a bad day for apples.

Catching up late as usual :)

By golly these look like complicated plates to produce!

So what exactly does the food have to do with Churchill? Hate these faux "themes" that they dream up for MC.

And Pete STILL hasn't been asked to cook a classic main dish that doesn't involve some/all Japanese ingredients.

Gawd that's one ugly college. I thought UCD in the 80's was bad

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,269 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Am I thick, or is jelly not setting primarily a time issue?

So what on earth does making a new batch achieve? Unless you pack it full of gelatiine so it tases gluey and gank?

Oooh, I fancy those tortellini something rotten :D

Who's the fella with the eyebrows? He looks really familiar, but missed his name (if it was given) in the intros......

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,269 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Oh, all those delicious crusty bits of beef being cut off and discarded - that's criminal

The three savoury courses went swimmingly - now for the dessert car crashes (I hope i'm wrong!)

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,269 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Oh Holy God - no sugar in the sorbet :eek::eek:

How did yer man let that go out?

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,269 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

I love the sight of Pete with meringue/maccaron (sp?) mix all over his face :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,269 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Hmmmmm, a dish inspired by someone you admire.

How many grannies are going to feature in this round???

ETA - OK, I stand corrected - a grandad was the first out of the traps!

    Just finished watching.

The Churchill thing was nonsense, went on far too long and too few people at it. Having said that, I'll be giving the Tortellini starter and the apple dessert a try this weekend. Oh yeah, and the tobacco ice cream as well. Busy, Busy me.

Simon to win it IMO. Je seems to want it more, he's very determined and very focused. Paul out next barring some disaster.

Hercule's plate is so neat! Sounded gorgeous as well.

Mmmmm, love the look of Paul's steak. Mmmmmm.

What's this "time with Theo Randall" that they're banging on about with Simon? Was that during this series?

Poor Emma looks under fierce pressure..... awww, her presentation let her down. Bugger.

Oh poor Pete - as much as I slag him, I wouldn't wish that on anyone at this stage  Love the sound of his ice cream though! What on earth was his apple pie made of? Was that custard underneath the apples or something?
