I'll be trying that hay cooking the next time the barbie gets fired up. And smoking meat in spruce smoke . Love trying stuff like that.

I'll also be heading to Ekstedt the next time I'm in Stockholm, I'd love to try the 7 course menu.

If Emma gets her presentation under control she could win. But Simon in driving seat.

    Yaay Marcus
Emma really isn't doing too well

Emma seems to have a lot more work to do than the others.

I regard this as a disaster of a show.

Nobody really knows who is cooking well or otherwise as the 'behind the scenes' chefs make sure that all is well.

And then tomorrow 30 minutes to decide a winner

Losing my interest in the format

At this stage it is Simons to lose.

Ah, you're just grumpy cos the booze wore off :D:D

Have to say this is my least favourite part of the programme - I'm far more interested in watching them actually cooking than peering at thermometers and discussing what sounds like my Inter Cert science class.

And all this fawning over the chefs sitting at the table. Puke.

(although I do think Andrew Fairlie is awfully cute!)

I cannot get out of my head that one of those chefs is Steve Davis

He's the flipping image of him, and sounds even more like him!

Fair play to those girls teetering down the stairs in high heels with two plates of food and a camera peering up their skirts

I don't even like fish and that red mullet dish is making my mouth water.

    Well done Hercule!

So true- and I have a sore head this morning!

Oh - I see I was wrong about the 30 minute final show. It is actually an hour long show 8.30pm to 9.30pm

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,269 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

    Right.

Tables set? Cutlery straight and in the right order? Napkins crisply folded? Wine glasses polished and gleaming?

    Ready steady go!

(It'll probably be about 9pm before we see any actual cooking, mind you, by the time they've waffled on about their mammies and grannies and boyfriends and wifes and husbands and pet dogs, and their dreams and wishes......)

It's the final - treat yourself!

Hercule was a very cute kid!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,269 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Hercule is multi-talented - cooking, magic AND sewing

Can't get over how my opinion and impression of him has changed from his first round!

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,324 ✭✭✭keps

I normally don't like recaps - but this one is quite well done

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,269 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Still think that crab tortellini was one of the best looking dishes of the whole series.
