The scary thing is, most of us are probably distantly related to him.. This is Ireland.

I thought The Guard was shockingly bad... Without Gleeson in it to give it credibility, it would have been panned.. If Tubridy wants "Top of the morning wakka wakka" then The Guard is Paddy Whackery to the power of thirty three...

Thanks be to Christ, I hate it too. Towering performance from BG, but a steaming pile of ****e none the less. What I really hate is that the promo clip that always seems to be shown on shows like this, is the scene where Don Cheadle is doing the power point presentation. And up pops BG saying that blacks can't swim.

Could it portray us in any worse light?

That was a good segement. Could have done with being longer for once. Gay had no problem letting good guests run on longer than they were scheduled for. He'd just cut someone else short later on. But RT's head would probably explode if he was asked to ad lib questions for 10 minutes more.

I'm in contact with Paddy Power's Chief Weasel, I'm sure we'll find a loophole somewhere.

I can offer you an IOU ?

i agree. glad Gleeson didn't go on one of his rants. Good man, sensible and well meaning but he can be very depressing sometimes!

Could the levels be any worse? Surely its RTE doing the desk and not their crew? Woeful. Feedback and all!
