Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

the short jist of it seems to be attempting to portray Gilligan as some sort of modern equivalent of the men of 1916. I suppose he must be some semblence of hero to people who smoked hash in the mid 90's :pac:
and the 'journalists' like cop lick ass williams think they are some sort of authority. what is it to them what he does? they are all cop lackeys . he served the jail sentence he got so why would the be following him around. thats what got saint veronica, who was not near as saintly as the papers like to pretend, shot. The journalists think they are some sort of second police force or some authority over crime. Their behaviour on his release was irresponsible just trying to wind him up

I have no time for him but just because he is a voilent thug does not mean the other side are saints or right. He was sent to jail and went to jail so why try to start it off again as the journalist did . they should stop playing cop but that would be hard since they are all cop lackeys they need the cops for their stories and their constant referfence to 'a source said' as if that is journalism. Anyone could write anything if they could quote ' a source'

She can do as she pleases. Oh wait, no - the great patriot Gilligan decrees otherwise. Pardon my ignorance.

....come on how many paedophiles are out there walking around to this day and yet the journalist still spent time going around to c what path he swipe u would think der was only one man....

I love the way the people who cheerlead the people who do the most damage to other people always go to the "peadophiles are worser argument" to somehow excuse their heroes damage to people.

If only we had a justice system that dealt with peadophiles AND sociopathic gangsters as well - Oh wait we do.

(I'm not picking on you Fonda I just grabbed your quote of the article, Gilligan's sister is who I meant as the cheerleader)

He's a scumbag. The fact he's off the island is a major plus IMO.

Comparing violent criminals to corrupt politicians is complete nonsense. I would have a drink with a corrupt politician. I would probably let a corrupt politician babysit my children. I would say hello to a corrupt politician in the street.

Violent criminals should not be compared with corrupt politicians, or other non-violent offenders for that matter. They are not the same.

When they both have you over the side of a chair and ready to f88k you.....
    whats the difference?

Love the way the photo of him has a frame in the Irish colours, like he's some kind of patriot or something :pac:

Whoever made those pictures is taking the piss:D

Look at criminals through history who've been romanticised in print and film, Billy the Kid, Bonnie and Clyde, Al Capone, Henry Hill, Krays etc.

Maybe that's what she's trying to do with those ridiculous pictures. :pac:

dear listerer reading the article sam hall has up for john gilligan my bro is so true he has being abandoned by his own country.yes he challanged the state abandoned yet again john is human frighting for his right i find journalist cause a lot of unessary statememt cause by there own judgement which causes people mind to wonder 17 years a long time in prison and yet while john spent all them years in prison was this a better place come on how many paedophiles are out there walking around to this day and yet the journalist still spent time going around to c what path he swipe u would think der was only one man on this earth it time to leave him be it nice to hear sam hall whoever u are say what u said there is decent people out der i no iv seein all his get well cards thanks and im so proud to say he is my brother and yes any irishman will fight for der right and sam thank you god bless

    Dear Listener,

Reading the article that Sam Hall has written with regards to John Gilligan, my brother, is so true. He has been abandoned by his own country. Yes, he challenged the state. He was abandoned, and yet again, John is fighting for his right. I find journalists cause a lot of unnecessary statements because of their own judgements which cause people's minds to wonder. 17 years is a long time in prison, and yet, whilst John spent all those years in prison, was this a better place? Come on, how many paedophiles are out there, walking around to this day? And yet, the journalists still spend time going around to see what path he swipes. You would think there was only one man on this earth, it's time to leave him be. It's nice to hear Sam Hall, whoever you are, say what you said, there are decent people out there, I know. I've seen all his get well cards, thanks, and I'm so proud to say he is my brother. And yes, any Irishman will fight for there right. And Sam, thank you and God bless.

Sweet Jesus, even translated into English it makes not one iota of fcuking sense. Also, I love how she addresses the 'Listener', what the fcuk is that about?

At least she acknowledges he's a wee bit different to the rest of us. Most people would sweep a path, but no, John has to swipe it. :pac:

I genuinely had no idea what she was trying to say at that bit.

I read in the Sunday papers 'he travelled to the UK under a false name'

Is this in itself not illegal? The Gardai escorted him to the boat

If you type like that do you reckon you find it easier to read posts of a similar nature by others? :pac: A bit like when mobiles first came out and teenage girls were a lot better at shorthand codes and abbreviations than us laads who were more competent with how to use predictive text on aaa Nokia (nobody really seems to use text speak anymore with the frequency they did years ago)

i smoked copious amounts of hash in the early/mid 90s and to me he's just a little prik.It should be noted though, the little fuker always had quality product.looked exactly like a 9bar of "hash" if we can even call it that these days but that was where the similarity ended however. These days the word soapbar automatically starts bells ringing, and rightly so too.in the mid 90s yellow soapbar,or banana soap as we nicknamed it in finglas was a highly desirable product, smelt nice, tasted nice, spread nice, burned nice and got you stoned NICE.Its not nostalgia on my part either,The little bollix was quite the stickler when it came to quality control it would seem

The guy who bought Gilligan's Jessbrook Equestrian Centre in Kildare for a song from the Criminal Assets Bureau is now selling it already. He says his son met with an accident and can no longer run the place.

Seems strange to invest millions doing up the place and then sell it less than a year into the investment. If his son could no longer run the place I would have thought they could easily find someone who can, especially being based in the horsey part of Kildare where the equestrian business is most concentrated in Ireland.

Ah sure birds of a feather flock together and the grim reaper is never too far away in his line of business, far as I know he isn't an undertaker, he got out of prison and he nearly got a life sentence to be spent in a grave.

I guess with his line of work you don't keep your enemies closer than your friends...
