facial growth stronger when older?

in 40s and in the last year or so . facial hair getting thicker . and harder . anyone had this before? SHAVING WITH MAC 3 . where are was shaving with bic shxt rasors before . but surly that cant be the different . no hormone tabs or other taken .. /

I'm in my late 50's and its as thick as ever. The only change is the colour.
