How To Connect Dvd Digital Cinema System To Philips Tv As Main Sound?

I don't know too much knowledge about electronics or anything but my philips tv doesn't have any socket to plug into to the tv for the system cord connector, so that i can use my dvd digital cinema system as the main sound.

Any help will be appreciated!

Basically i need to know how to connect my subwoofer to tv, the subwoofer cable doesn't have anything on the back of the tv to plug into..

You omitted to mention that that JVC box is over 10 years old. You won't be able to do what you're trying to do because it only supports optical audio in and your TV only has co-ax digital audio out - it's labelled 'SPDIF Out', to the upper right of the SCART sockets, at the top of a column of three sockets. I assume you have the JVC currently connected to the TV using a SCART cable, that's all you can really do with that setup.

No TV will connect straight to a subwoofer.

You need to buy some class of an audio system box that takes HDMI input, then connect that to the TV.
