    Hello,

I Can't send emails to some people using Outlook 2003.

It only seems to be for people in America that they won't send, but I am receiving emails from them usually.

I can send and receive email from people in Ireland with no problem.

I get delivery failure messages back that always have this or something very similar:

The following message to <sl***31@ameritech.net> was undeliverable.
    The reason for the problem:
    5.1.0 - Unknown address error 553-'5.3.0 nlpi169 DNSBL:ATTRBL 521<
    213.233.128.43 >_is_blocked.__For_information_see_http://att.net/blocks'

213.233.128.43 is vodafones ip address, not mine, so please why is this happening??

My Outgoing (SMPT) settings are: mail.vodafone.ie and incoming (POP3) is: webmail.eircom.net

Used to be with eircom, but switched to vodafone recently and this problem only really started then I think

    Please help, Thanks

Vodafone's servers have probably got onto a block list after somebody sent some spam.
The problem will probably be temporary, but in the meantime if you use the web mail eircom service for the recipients that aren't getting the mails, it might be a workaround.

No this has been the case for over a month.

As bonzo said, it looks as if Vodafone have been blacklisted by Ameritech's mail servers.

They only advice I can give you is to contact Vodafone and ask them to investigate it. The alternative for you is to use an alternative relay SMTP server, e.g.:

    http://www.jangosmtp.com/
    http://www.mailjet.com/

But as I said it is also happening with other email addresses from America, like aol.com

I send them an email, it says it is sent in outlook and is in sent items, but when I ask them did they get it, they say they have received nothing

I looked up vodafones ip address and it is not blacklisted on spamhaus and others.
