    John Lennon - imagine

This was also Dr. Sam Beckett, from
    Quantum Leap’s, favourite song.

Remember, he plays it for his little sister in the episode where he returns “home”? He was trying to stop his brother going up Vietnam.

Great show. Hasn’t “aged” well though.

At the moment its Angie (aslan version) the more I listen to it the better it gets.
I could name 10 songs of heart that would be on my playlist off all time favourites.

Hey if im fu-king up your thread I apologise

The U2 thread got my thinking, what is your favourite ever song - it can be from any band / era / genre etc.

Mine would be ‘Always on my Mind’ - any of the mainstream versions (Elvis / The Pet Shops Boys / Willie Nelson).

Is it actually possible to have one song, I dont believe its possible because the next song you hear could be your favourite song of all time.

Classic alright, a right ear worm. Irish pictorial weekly gave it a new audience.

I am in my 40’s, I like lots of songs but this has been my favourite for 15 years at least.

Most of the music I listen to / hear on the radio is not new, so the chances of a new song supplanting it are slim, for me as least.

There could be a rare movement in a top 10 list but the number 1 is pretty much set for life at this point, I feel.

It's not really a song technically but the second side of Abbey Road by the Beatles which is almost one big medley of songs is probably my favourite ever. Or Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd.

    Blue Monday.

I think Blue Monday is a near perfect song but just something about regret that just puts it up there as my absolute favorite song of all time probably the opening.

Lust for Life by Iggy Pop just never gets old for me

Bohemian rhapsody by Queen. The best song in the world ever, imo.

I think this song encapsulates the anxiety and worry that a lot of people have at the moment. And it's amazing.

I got into a discussion earlier with my brother, and this was my punchline/parting comment:

I've 10 songs in my current Desert Island Discs playlist, looking at them and I find it very hard to pick a favourite out of them. Each of them means something in particular to me for a different reason and on a different day or in a different mood, it could be any one of them.

Here is one that if I had to put a gun to my head, I might pick it out.

Think it would get the nod primarily because it reminds me of the summer in which it was released which for me was probably the 'best' summer of my life. So far. ;)
