Healy has been surprisingly quiet today. Not really a day for the wingers yet thought.

Masterson Has looked good, he has carried well

if we cant put this poor dragons side reduced to 14 players away then we clearly dont deserve to be anywhere near 6th spot in the league
The door has been opened very wide but do we have the composure and patience to put more scores up and put dragons away - this needs to happen today

He's carried well a couple of times all right one carry in particular was fabulous. I just hope Connacht can keep the pressure on.

Good to see their kicker misjudging the wind from the kickoff. Dirty day out there.

Jeez, get the ball out of the scrum and don't let them wheel it

Edit: How the **** can it be a penalty one way for wheeling and not the other?

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 10,574 Mod ✭✭✭✭Robbo

Big Rod's having a mare in the scrum. I can see him getting a sympathy yellow at some stage.

Poor from Connacht there to lost that scrum. Might touch for Dragons in the corner. Connacht under pressure.

Not sure on either scrum decision there tbh.

Referee hasn't given Connacht much since the red.

I hate to be one of those people who whines about the ref, but surely I can't be the only one thinking he's made some shocking decisions in the past 30 mins?

  • Posts: 0 ✭✭✭✭ Preston Magnificent Script

That's a waste from Carty. Criminal enough.

Yup. But this one has gone Connacht's way.....don't think that was forward.

    Carty off, O'Halloran on.

Late elbow to Carty's face. Looked intentional.

    Carty off, O'Halloran on.

How on earth is Carty a pro player, He is constantly poor

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

A great chance banjaxed by Connacht there.

That looked to me like taking the 9 out on Buckley didn't it? He was reaching down to act as scrum-half and the Dragons player took him out. Or is the taking the 9 out only reserved for players with 9 on their back?

Really? Just the win in the RDS to show for it. At home, they've only beaten Zebre and Treviso.

I'm not getting crazy confident or anything here but this one's eminently winnable if we go about it the right way.

They beat Newcastle in England and Stade Francais

    Should take the 3 here.

Good patience but we should be putting this one into the corner.

Penalty slotted by Leader. They're composed now.

my understanding is "9" in that case is a player not bound to the ruck

I don't think a team should pass on 3 points unless they're 7+ ahead personally.

So should the Dragons player have been penalised then?

How on earth is that not a yellow card?

Great chase from Connacht, force a turnover, and then the offside returning players get in the way of trying to score.

Try Dragons eventually. Thought Connacht would keep them out.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,442 ✭✭✭its_phil

And that's why you take 3 points.

    23-18
