Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Ugh
Should be more than 7 ahead
Cardiff won't play that poor again second half surely

That is a ****ing criminal waste of chances!

Why didn't we take a scrum off that last free kick? Would defintley have fancied us for a pushover try. Playing well but I hope all those fruitless visits we've had to their 22 don't end up costing us

Serious amount of knock ons from both teams so far, is it wet in Cardiff?

  • Registered Users Posts: 15 eltonio

Naopu should be shot for tapping that pen just before half time

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,537 ✭✭✭typhoony

5 minutes before muldoon was telling them to calm down and then George goes for a quick tap instead of the scrum, madness

We seem to be knocking on a few balls from hitting the ground, I can only imagine hitting that surface is harder than grass and impact affecting handling

3-10 but still so frustrating. Scrum there at the end and the minimum outcome would have been another three points from a penalty, maybe could have drawn a yellow card or forced a penalty try. Tap and go was stupid. Heenan immense though, front row well in control. Really need to take at least four points here, any less from this position of dominance will be a shocking waste.

Anything to be said for putting in a 4G pitch at the Sportsground - it seems to suit our style of play?

EDIT: Was a free kick, not a pen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,166 ✭✭✭✭Zzippy

It was a free kick so I don't think taking another scrum was an option

Ronaldson looks so uncomfortable passing the ball, particularly off his left.

is it mandatory to have that hipster beard to play in the Connacht pack - its working a treat anyway , pack is great , with good half back play - best I've seen from a Connacht 10 since Elwood

The world always seems to be against Alex Cuthbert. He always has the most grief filled face.

Lloyd Linton. Scotland but has a Northern Irish accent. Seems pretty competent

    Great cover by Healy.

Very early to go changing the front row, they are well on top at scrum time so why not leave them on for now?

Was there not a clear knock on before that try was scored or am I imagining things?

Looked like bealham won a turnover
Then he stops play & should have given a penalty in my view.

Then restarts with a cardiff scrum.

He went to TMO to check for a no-arms charge but they said the player had his arms up so it was a legitimate clearout

I don't understand how he made the call to give them a scrum after Bealham had a turnover is what I meant

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,818 ✭✭✭Inspector Coptoor

That was a connacht penalty I felt, not a knock on by Muldoon. Pity. A 3 pointer there would have been nice

Yeah Hoeata could easily have been pinged the same way we were in their 22 a few mins before

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,300 ✭✭✭freyners

Some size hole there, but well taken. Get in.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,442 ✭✭✭its_phil

Well done Muldowney! So many soft shoulders on Cardiff side.

I've doubted Poolman at 13 but he has been brilliant tonight
